afternoon care

We wish to support parents who due to work or other committments are not always able to collect their children at 1pm. Afternoon care is available from the end of the morning session at 1pm, finishing in line with the afternoon School sessions as well as most mainstream schools at 3.30pm. Places can be booked for part or all of this time using the details given on the contacts page.

rhythm of the afternoon

The children and staff eat their packed lunches together at about a quarter past one. Next there is a quiet period of rest until 2 O'clock when supervised free play begins. Weather permitting, a large part of this play time is spent outside in the garden. The Kindergarten play materials are available for inside play. A variety of activities such as drawing, crafts and games are also offered.

Afternoon care is offered at the Norwich Steiner School and Kindergarten Premises on Hospital Lane, which runs between Hall Road and City Road in Lakenham, Norwich.
