playgroup purpose

This group meets the needs of children who might have ‘grown out of’ the existing Parent & Child Group, yet who are not yet developmentally ready to join our Kindergarten. There are subtle differences and innovations in the Playgroup tailored to the slightly different developmental needs of older toddlers. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 12 children (with their accompanying parent/minder)

a bridge to Kindergarten

Many children continue to flourish in the Parent and Child Group right up to the point when they enter the Kindergarten. The Playgroup however, provides a bridge for those families who are interested in continuing with Steiner education but whose children would benefit from a intermediate environment between these two stages.

location and places

The Playgroup is held at the Norwich Steiner School on Hospital Lane, which runs between Hall Road and City Road in Lakenham, Norwich.
